Hong Kong was expensive.
I don't know why, everything seems to be manufactured in China.
I did find some affordable goodies though.
I loved this little stamp I found in a stationers {my favourite kind of shop}
and the two paintings were a market stall find. I wish I knew more about them,
the stall holder spoke no English
and my Mandarin aint what it was.
I like the red wool the ladies are holding.
And these woodcut knives. I've got loads of tools like this but I just loved the box.
I bought a cobalt blue maxi dress which hides a multitude of cream teas and fried noodles.
The food in Hong Kong was dreamy.
Sitting on the street watching the world go by in the wet heat,
being served mountains of freshly cooked pak choi drenched in garlic.
My favourite visual thing about H.K was the buildings at night. All neon and light shows.
Skyscrapers changing colour and the disco sweep of laser lights.
I would love to go back for longer and explore much more and now
I have a hankering for mainland China.
