This is a prayer, a slow easy over under
The stove clicking and ticking and with each opening
The flames rumble into the room and I link and breathe and dream the colour of the air
I promised myself a long time ago to learn something
completely new with each passing year.
To add to the things I will always be learning and illuminating and improving on.
This year it has been meditation and crochet and the art of letting go.
In discovering what is good for me I find a twirl of peace.
Have a lovely weekend.

The art of leting go sounds good if you care to say any more about it...?
Dearest Mise
Of course I could say more about it...I just hate to blah on on the blaahhhg. Letting go of thoughts through the ancient art of meditation has improved my life by a thousand fold. Now I get the thought (whatever sadness or ugliness or misery it is) and I let it go. And I think this means I have to do that with all the good exciting pleasing thoughts too. And although this makes me sound like a saint and I'm still working on it I feel I can cope with life in a more serene and mindful way. Amazing, because I have been known for my Tazmanian devil qualities and I just used to blame it on the Irish genes in my blood and the leaning towards the fiery hair. And picking up a crochet hook and a ball of wool and just letting my mind focus on the rhythm of that, I feel soothed. It's working for me...for now. There's always drugs if all else fails. ;-)
Actually, I think I may be better at describing what I am aiming for than actually doing it but hey, I'm only human.
lovely. all of it. x
Lovely. I just took a meditation workshop a few weeks ago. It is so much harder to do than it sounds. We can both work on it:) Have a great day!
